Volunteer Opportunities
Laketran offers opportunities for citizens of all ages to become involved in promoting
public transportation. All volunteers must complete a
volunteer application and are subject to background checks.
Laketran Ambassadors
Ambassadors assist new riders as they learn to navigate the system. They assist
at community events to promote public transit and answer questions about various
routes and services. Requires attendance at training sessions and periodic reviews.
The volunteer application must
be completed.
Clerical Volunteers
Volunteers may assist on clerical assignments on a regular or periodic basis. The
volunteer application must be
completed. Volunteers must be available during business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00
am to 4:30 pm. Volunteers must be able to work independently. Skills in Microsoft
Word and Excel are required for data assignments. Please contact Julia Schick at

Communications Interns
Intern positions are available throughout the year. Interested students should contact
Jessie Baginski at marketing@laketran.com
or 440-350-1008. A volunteer application
must be completed. Hours are flexible and internships can be designed to meet a
range of interests. Good writing and communication skills are required. Some evenings
and weekends may be required.
Students
Student opportunities can include completion of community service hours or special

volunteer application must be completed. For students under the age of 18,
a parent or guardian must sign the application and can only use the printable application.
