When will the fare increase take effect?
Laketran's fares will increase June 1, 2008. This fare increase is Laketran's second increase since 1986 - in 22 years!

What do I do with tickets I already have at the the previous fare?
You may use these tickets until July 31, 2008. You will need to pay the difference between the base fare prices when using these tickets. Fixed Route full fare riders will need to pay an extra 25 cents. Fixed Route senior/disabled riders will need to pay an additional 10 cents. Dial-a-Ride full fare passengers will need to pay an additional $2. Dial-a-Ride senior/disabled passengers will need to pay an additional 25 cents. Commuters will need to pay an additional 50 cents. You will need to have the exact change for the difference. Drivers cannot not make change or accept difference payments for multiple rides. You may also bring any unused tickets into Laketran Headquarters, Monday-Friday, between 8 am and 4:30 pm to exchange them for new tickets. You will need to pay the difference between the old and new amounts. This will eliminate the need to have the additional exact amount of change when boarding the bus.
