Laketran aims to hire up to 16 part-time drivers to operate its Dial-a-Ride service that primarily transports seniors and people with disabilities getting individuals to work, medical appointments, senior centers, and local shopping around Lake County. Bus driver positions start as part-time and promotion opportunities to advance to full-time are plentiful.
Laketran is also actively recruiting full-time mechanics and vehicle servicers for their maintenance department. Maintenance positions begin immediately and candidates are encourage to apply via indeed or by attending the upcoming hiring event.
Interviews are guaranteed to all applicants attending the hiring event taking place on October 15.
Laketran Hiring Event – Tuesday, October 15
- Positions to Hire: Part-time Drivers, Full-time Mechanics & Vehicle Servicers
- Date/Time: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Location: Lakeland Community College H-Building at 7700 Clocktower Dr. Kirtland, OH 44094
- Suggested Parking: H-Building Central lot – P8 on Campus Map
- Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required to work as a driver. All applicants must pass a background check, drug-test, and ODOT physical.
- Training: Driver candidates must be available for a six-week training class that begins November 12, 2024.
- Suggestion: Complete an application in advance and bring it with you.
- A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required for hire.
