Starting Friday, June 7, 2024 Liberty St. from Washington St. to SR-84 is being repaved.

Traffic will only be able to go southbound along Liberty St.

Route 5 south loop will detour as follows:

• Regular route until W. South St. and Liberty St.
• Continue straight on W. South St. to E. South St.
• Left on S. St. Clair St.
• Continue on S. St. Clair St. to the Painesville Transfer Center

The following stop will be out of service: LEC DORM TOWER (ID: 377)

Per the City of Painesville, this detour is expected to be in effect until August 10. 

When traffic is backed-up due to construction at Hubbard Rd. and N. Ridge Rd. the Route 4 westbound will detour when traveling northbound from Madison Village. 

From N. Lake St. northbound:

• Left on Middle Ridge Rd.
• Right on Burns Rd.
• Right on North Ridge Rd. to Madison Plaza Stop ID # 528 (Madison Giant Eagle)
• Continue regular route after Madison Plaza

This detour will be in effect until construction is complete.
