Lake County, OH – Gay Games 9 (GG9) kicks off next week with events throughout Northeast Ohio with bowling in Lake County hosted by Game of Wickliffe at 28801 Euclid Avenue, formerly known as Freeway Lanes.

Laketran is pleased to be a GG9 participating transit system, along with Greater Cleveland RTA and Akron Metro.  The games are expected to have 8,000 athletes participating and over 10,000 spectators.

Starting Monday, August 11 through Thursday, August 14 Laketran will operate additional service between downtown Cleveland and Game of Wickliffe (Freeway Lanes). Click here for GG9 Laketran schedule.  All service is open to the public. Laketran asks its daily riders to be ambassadors for Laketran and Lake County.

This service is being funded by GG9.  Gay Games participants may ride any of the three participating transit systems for free with their GG9 pass or badge. Families and friends of participants may also ride the three participating transit systems for free with their GG9 Tourist transportation pass.  The regular fare of $3.75 is paid by general public riders who do not have a GG9 transportation pass.
