Beginning Monday, April 4, 2016, Laketran will begin testing a new automated phone call system that will call customers to confirm Dial-a-Ride reservations. Calls to Dial-a-Ride customers will be sent out between 7:00pm – 9:00pm the evening before their trip and will allow customers to cancel their ride at that time, if needed. Customers will receive another automated phone call shortly before the bus arrives to pick up the customer.
Laketran is encouraging all Dial-a-Ride customers to confirm their phone number with Laketran’s Customer Service Department to ensure that confirmation calls are sent to the correct phone number. Customers can choose whether to provide a home or cell phone, which may be more helpful for return trips.
