After reviewing the Route 12X customer survey data, Laketran found the best trips to change from a regular Route 12 to a 12X would be the 4:25pm trip and the 5:00pm trip. In the past, some customers have asked us for the data and methods used to make planning decisions; below you will find the raw data along with the methodology for making the route change.

We used the following formula to evaluate the results:

1^st choice = 1 vote                            2^nd choice = .66 of a vote               3^rd choice = .33 of a vote

We chose to weigh the results to reflect how strongly people felt about each suggested time.  The totals for each time are below:

From the data you can see the results were very close making any decision difficult.  Laketran is now asking riders to review the proposed route changes on the map and timetable below.  After your review, please email your opinion about the changes to marketing@laketran.com. Below, we have simplified the schedule to include only Cleveland, Wickliffe Park-n-Ride and Eastlake Transit Center; the route will continue to St. Mary Magdalene’s and Shoregate.

Laketran aims to best serve the diverse needs of our customers and the changes in downtown Cleveland. We would appreciate your feedback about the route changes by December 18 to marketing@laketran.com. Based on feedback received, Laketran will evaluate if these Route 12X changes will be implemented.  No implementation date has been set.
