Need a last-minute ride to an appointment? Picking up an extra shift at work? Just need to grab a few essentials from the store? With Rides on Demand, you can book a same-day trip anywhere in Lake County—no advance planning needed!

How it works

Download the Rides on Demand app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account and follow the prompts to request a trip. You can request a trip to pick you up as soon as possible, or a trip to pick you up later in the day.

You can also call Laketran Customer Service at 440-350-1000 to book a Rides on Demand trip.

How to pay – Updated July 2026

Beginning July 31, 2026, Rides on Demand will officially be a pre-paid service.  Customers can now load funds into the new Wallet in the Rides on Demand app and use their balance to pay when booking trips. You may need to update your Rides on Demand app to see the new Wallet feature.

If you have unused Rides on Demand tickets in the EZfare app, you have until July 31, 2026, to use them. After July 31, we will no longer accept cash or EZfare tickets as payment on Rides on Demand trips.

If you would like to transfer the value of your unused Rides on Demand tickets from the EZfare app to your Rides on Demand wallet, please complete this online form.

Fares

• Regular fare: $14.00 each way.
• Reduced fare: $3.50 each way (seniors, individuals with disabilities and veterans.)  To be eligible for a reduced fare, you must complete Laketran’s Reduced Fare Application.

Rides on Demand is available Monday – Friday from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.
