Beginning January 1, 2020, Laketran’s Dial-a-Ride service transitioned to a pre-paid service, meaning your trip must be paid for when you schedule your reservation.
We will no longer accept cash, Smart Cards, and Value Cards as a form of payment when boarding your Dial-a-Ride bus.
There are multiple ways you can pay for your trips when scheduling a reservation.
Pay when you book– When you call Customer Service to book your trip, you will be able to pay for your trip with a credit or debit card over the phone. Call today 440-354-6100.
Pay through your Request-a-Ride account– A payment feature is now available on Request-a-Ride, our online reservation website. If you do not have a Request-a-Ride account, you can sign up by calling Customer Service at 440-354-6100.
Mail-in a check or money order– Customers are able to mail a check or money order to Laketran and have the funds applied to a Dial-a-Ride account. For more information about payment by check or money order, please call Customer Service at 440-354-6100.
Add funds to your account in person at Laketran– Customers may also come to Laketran in person and add funds to their Dial-a-Ride account. Our office is located at 555 Lakeshore Blvd., Painesville Township, Ohio 44077. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. If you need to add funds to your account in person at Laketran, a Dial-a-Ride trip will be provided free of charge – regular Dial-a-Ride scheduling restrictions apply.
If you currently have a Smart Card or Value Cards with balances, you can mail them to Laketran, along with the Laketran Prepayment Ticket Exchange Form, and the funds will be transferred to your Dial-a-Ride account.
