Laketran is excited to announce two Hiring Events to apply for driver positions at Laketran and Geauga Transit. Drivers will provide door-to-door transportation and primarily serve seniors and people with disabilities getting individuals to work, medical appointments, senior centers, and local shopping.

Interviews are guaranteed to all applicants attending the hiring events taking place on August 14 & 15. 

Laketran Hiring Event – Thursday, August 15

• Positions to Hire: part-time & full-time drivers
• Date/Time: Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Location: Lakeland Community College H-Building at 7700 Clocktower Dr. Kirtland, OH 44094
• Suggested Parking: H-Building Central lot – P8 on Campus Map
• Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required to work as a driver. All applicants must pass a background check, drug-test, and ODOT physical.
• Training: Candidates must be available for a six-week training class that begins September 17, 2024.
• Suggestion: Complete an application in advance and bring it with you.
• No CDL required.

Geauga Transit Event – Wednesday, August 14

• Positions to Hire: Part-time bus drivers, part-time dispatchers
• Date/Time: Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Location: Geauga Transit at 12555 Merritt Road, Chardon, OH 44024
• Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required to work as a driver. All applicants must pass a background check, drug-test, and ODOT physical.
• Suggestion: Complete an application in advance and bring it with you.
• Training: Training will take place at Geauga Transit facility.
• No CDL required.

A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required for hire.
