Laketran is hosting a two-day hiring event with a goal to fill over 25 positions for the Lake County transit agency.  The event offers immediate interviews on site. Laketran is currently looking to fill the following positions:

  • 24 bus driver positions (CDL not required)
  • Up to 4 diesel mechanic positions
  • 2 part-time customer service representatives positions

Laketran encourages applicants to download and complete an employment application in advance. A valid Ohio driver’s license is required for an interview. All applications must past an ODOT physical, background check and drug screening to be hired.

A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is NOT not required for hire. Laketran aims to fill two driver-training classes. The 6-week paid training classes will start February 28 and April 18.
