Laketran’s fleet of 155 vehicles traveled 4,612,359 miles in 2023 to help residents access jobs, medical appointments, school, shopping and more. Our professional team of diesel mechanics and vehicle servicers complete over 5,200 preventative maintenance repairs annually to keep our transit service safe and reliable. Mechanics diagnose and repair motor coaches, medium/heavy diesel and battery-operated electric transit buses, unleaded and propane vans, and automobiles.  Benefits include signing bonus, tool reimbursement, and uniforms. Next Driver Hiring Event – Thursday, August 15

Laketran hosts quarterly hiring events to recruit bus drivers for our Laketran Paratransit Driver Training program. Each quarter, Laketran hires a class of drivers to complete the six-week training program that teaches safe driving and boarding, passenger assistance, sensitivity training and a Behind the Wheel skills assessments to ensure we provide safe and professional transportation to our customers. A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required for hire. All applicants must pass a background check, drug-test, ODOT physical, and be available to work any shift during our hours of operation. To apply most effectively, please complete a Laketran application and bring it with you to the Hiring Event on August 15. By doing so, you will be guaranteed an interview.
