Call Center Customer Service

Great customer service starts with those who care about making a difference in people’s lives. Are you friendly, resourceful, and enjoy talking on the phone? Responsibilities include taking customer calls to reserve Dial-a-Ride trips, entering trip information via computer, verifying pick-up and drop-off points, and providing general information to callers about the services Laketran offers.

This position is perfect for those with a pleasant phone manner, comfortable with data entry, and patient in answering questions while handling a high volume of calls each hour. Spanish speaker is a plus!

This Part-Time Position Offers:

  • $14.26 per hour to start

Lead Bus Detailer 

The Lead Detailer serves as a “Working Lead” while providing leadership and guidance to the Detailer staff in a continuous effort to provide high-quality vehicle cleaning service while controlling cost.  In addition to performing the same duties as Detailers, the Lead Detailer is accountable for guiding the cleaning of Laketran’s 155-vehicle fleet for next day’s service.  These duties include exterior and interior cleaning, washing, disinfecting, fueling, checking fluids and filling oil, coolant, DEF, washer fluid, and hand sanitizer, and completing associated paperwork.  

The ideal person has proven leadership experience, initiative, and the interpersonal skills to successfully motivate a staff of four (4) toward our common goal of delivering high-quality vehicle cleaning service while controlling costs.

Now Hiring Bus Mechanic 2

Our Mechanics are responsible for diagnosing defects and performing repairs on 140 fleet vehicles including motor coaches, medium/heavy diesel, unleaded vans, propane vans, automobiles, trucks, alternative fuel vehicles, and mechanical equipment.

This position requires completion of an accredited mechanic training program plus two years hands-on work experience, or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience that includes diagnosing defects and performing repairs on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, transmissions, hydraulic systems, transmission, minor body work, electrical wiring and components, air brake systems, air motors, air controls, compressors, 24-volt systems, air ride systems, vehicle computer systems, electronic fare collection equipment, wheelchair lifts, multiplex, cameras, electronic destination signs, and radios. 

Must have own tools.  This position requires working variable shifts and Saturdays.

 A solid work record of reliable attendance and quality job performance is required. ASE Transit Bus Certifications (H Series) earns you a higher hourly wage. Valid Ohio driver license required (CDL a plus) and you must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Although we’re not currently hiring Dial-a-Ride Drivers, you are welcome to apply. 

Laketran offers a very attractive starting wage of $15.29 per hour with significant raises every 6 months for 3 year; top rate is $19.28 per hour.

 6-hour shifts, 4 days per week, which could include Saturdays but no Sundays or overnight. Reliable, dependable attendance is an essential function of this job; commitment to schedule and attendance is vital.

Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen, background check, and Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles license check are required.  A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is not required.
