NOACA Encourages Northeast Ohio to Leap into Transit and Fall in Love with It!

From NOACACLEVELAND (February 1, 2024) – Discover the joys of taking transit this Leap-Year February by participating in Gohio Commute’s 2024 Northeast Ohio Loves Transit Challenge, hosted by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA). The challenge is open to individuals in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties.

Participation is simple. Participants log all their trips (to work, school, and errands) using alternative modes of transportation on the Gohio Commute platform for a chance to win prizes.

Let’s show what a difference we can make in our region’s air quality by reducing carbon emissions when we leave the car behind (unless carpooling with someone else, which counts for the challenge).

Eligible Modes of Travel: Bike, bikeshare, carpool, transit, vanpool, walk, micro-transit, scooter, telework, and day off for travel.

Win Prizes!

Once participants log their trips, they are eligible for weekly raffle prizes, as well as grand prizes for the first-, second- and third-place overall alternative commuters. Entries are limited to four trips per day. Transit and carbon-free modes (e.g., walking, teleworking, scooters) will earn extra points.

Weekly random drawings and overall prizes have been donated by Gohio Commute sponsors, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, Laketran, and University Circle, Inc.
